Despite another damp cold start, we felt better this week after getting the first decent run of the year under our belts, or is that wheels! last week. So when 6 club members and 2 guest riders from Drighlington club, Paul Kirk & Lee, also turned up for the ride to Boroughbridge we set off at a happy relaxed pace. With new rider Tracey really getting to grips with her clip-less pedals and not falling off the whole ride, most of us took a turn at the back to keep her company and give encouragement, that's my excuse any way. 
We even got a glimpse of the sun very briefly, and stayed dry which is more than it did back in Yeadon apparently. We almost had the Cafe at Boroughbridge to ourselves, while plotting the possibilities of doing the Northern Rock Cyclone challenge in June. A good day out ending with a good clean of the bike a necessity.
