Club Run Sunday 17th January

At last we get 2010 under way on the Sunday club runs. I hear the young brave hearts have made a few Saturday training rides over the last few weeks of snow but we, the more senior group, felt today was worth the wait. 8 riders set off to Cracoe with the intention of tasting the Farm Shops home cooked grub. The riding was dirty, gritty and still the odd patch of ice on the side roads, but we all made it. Many of us were feeling apprehensive about our fitness after the long lay off, over a month for some. So although the promised sun never showed its face at least we stayed dry. The only sign of the sun was the smiles on the groups faces as we neared home after the first of we hope many successful rides in 2010.
